Dear Coventry Families,
We are looking forward to our Winter Celebration: A Winter Wonderland. We are partnering with North Trail High School, and their leadership students will be participating by helping our volunteers and teachers with the many activities we have planned for next Thursday evening. Remember, it is an open house for families to stop by whenever their schedules work to participate in the fun. Doors will open at 5:00 pm and finish at 7:00 pm. There will be a visit from Santa and parents can take photos of their child(ren). We will set up a line up area for those wishing to have a visit with Santa. We ask parents to be respectful as we understand this may be a popular spot for children and to quickly take just one photo. This will help the line move faster so that families can enjoy other events as well. Remember to bring your non-perishable food item for the Coventry Hills Little Free Pantry. Donations can be left in our grand hall in the boxes provided. Thank you to School Council/CHEFS for sponsoring this event and providing funds for materials to create our gifts to the community. We will be providing gifts to many organizations including the Children’s Cottage, Meals on Wheels, New Port Harbor Seniors residence, and Alberta Health Services just to name a few. In addition, there is an opportunity to provide cash donations for Hot Chocolate/Cider and Santa Photos for the Coventry Hills Little Free Pantry to buy items that they run short of.
We have organized some festive days starting this Friday. Check out your child’s Google Classroom for information. See the list below:
· Friday, December 13 – Crazy Hair Day
· Monday, December 16 – You are a Gift- Dress like a present (bows, wrapping, etc.)
· Tuesday, December 17 - Snowflake Day-wear blue and white
· Wednesday, December 18 - Festive Day- dress in your festive wear (hats, sweaters, socks) or wear red
· Thursday, December 19 - Candy Cane Day- dress in red, and white

Lost and found will be packed up and sent to Goodwill on Friday, December 20th. Look before it is all gone for the new year during our Winter Celebration to see if your child is missing any items.
Thank you to all the families that have been participating in CHEFS fundraising events. The events raised funds for our new playground and our school. We are so thankful for all those who help to coordinate such events and those who participated in it. We have a wonderful community who supports our school, and we are grateful to all our families.
We wish everyone a wonderful winter break. School will resume on Monday, January 6th
Sincerely,
Benita Dalton, Principal.
