There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. In our school, this can include providing in-kind donations, contributing cash and lending expertise and technical knowledge. Connect with our principal on what may be appropriate. Fundraising Activities

CHEFS Purpose

CHEFS relies on the support of parents, guardians and community members to run all our fundraising activities and special events throughout the year. These funds raised goes towards supporting our school and children to enhance their learning.

Fundraising Supports…

There are many ways you can contribute to our school’s success, and make a difference for our school and our students. Our Parent Society, Coventry Hills Elementary Fundraising Society’s (CHEFS’s) focus on fundraising initiatives is to support and enhance the educational experiences for our students at Coventry Hills.

Please also keep in mind, we have one large expense coming in the summer of 2026 - a new playground! This is a $650,000.00 investment for our school and overall community, which as a collective, we have to raise the money for our future generations to enjoy!

While we need to continue to fundraise to support current school year allocations, we also need to strategically think about how we can fundraise the necessary funds for our upcoming inclusive playground. Just like our playground is focused around “inclusivity”, we wanted to provide a variety of different fundraisers for our community to feel empowered to choose which “inclusive” fundraisers they would like to participate in.  Learn more about our different fundraisers for our new playground

Support of parents, either through participating in our Parent Society meetings, planning and coordinating events or fundraisers, or through contributions to the fundraising efforts, are all greatly appreciated.  Your time is valued, whether you can attend a single meeting, offer an hour to organize or set-up an event, or help to coordinate our different fundraisers; no contribution is too small!

Fundraising supports areas such as:

  • Field trips & bussing
  • Fine arts performances
  • Artists in Residence
  • Technology (iPad, smartboards, headphones, etc.)
  • Science, Literacy & Math curriculum supports
  • Family Events sponsored by School Council
  • And more!!

Check out our ongoing fundraising campaigns that support Coventry Hills School.  These campaigns are also published in the school newsletter monthly.  If ever you have questions, please email our Fundraising team at chefsfunds@gmail.com.

Scholastic Book Fairs

One of the ways we get children and the community excited about reading at Coventry Hills School is by hosting regular Scholastic Book Fairs. Scholastic Canada is one of the country's leading publishers and distributors of children's books and educational materials in both official languages. Scholastic Book Fairs bring the latest and greatest children's books right to our school! Every book purchased at a Scholastic Book Fair helps put great new books and teachers' resources in our students' classrooms and our school's own library. Book Fairs are also a great time for parents to volunteer and help us with running this busy event.

We encourage you to contact our office if you are able to help. Thank you in advance for your time and effort.
