What Is...

A School Designation or Lottery Notice?

School Designation or Lottery Notice lets families know when there are changes to which school a student can attend because a school has limited space. It may also explain whether a lottery or overflow school will be used when there isn’t enough space at the designated school.

An Attendance Area or a Walk Zone?

Your attendance area is the area where you live that determines which CBE school your child is designated to attend.

walk zone is the area around a school where students live close enough to be considered within walking distance of the school.

Where Every Student Matters

School Highlights

Coventry Hills School opened in 2002 and is situated in the community of Coventry Hills. Our school serves students in Kindergarten through Grade 5.

The school includes spaces for music as well as a large gymnasium and auxiliary gymnasium. Our library media centre is a space that respects intellectual freedom and encourages information literacy. A large multi-purpose area (called the Grand Hall) and library are centrally located.

Our students represent a number of ethnic and language groups. Thirty-two languages other than English are spoken in the homes of our students and approximately 35 per cent of our students are identified to be English Language Learners.

After completing Grade 5, the majority of our students attend Nose Creek School for Grades 6 through 9. Many of these students later move to North Trail High School.
