Welcome Back! Spring has finally sprung and we are looking forward to the snow melting and the new life that begins to sprout in these April days. Many events are happening at the school and clubs during our lunch hours are well established. In the past few weeks, we have had French Club, Friendship Club start alongside our Leadership and Tech clubs that run all year.  Ukelele club starts next Tuesday.  The students are excited about the work they are doing in their perspective clubs.  Next week, School Council is sponsoring our Cultural Evening. We are looking forward to a special evening together. They have been sending out messages and promoting the evening. Don’t forget to sign up. Puddle

School Plans for Next Year.

With April comes our time to school plan and make staffing decisions based on student enrollment projections. This year, our school was considered a “limited capacity” school as we were approaching almost 100% of our utilization rate for our building. Next year, it projected to be over the 100% utilization rate with a prediction of an increase student enrollment of approximately 45 more students so that our enrolment will be almost 660 students.  With the changes comes some important planning as we have new families moving into our community and other families leaving us. In anticipation of this movement, this year we are trying to be prepare with better accuracy to our student count in each grades so that we can staff for the correct number of teachers and try to minimize as best we can the increase of class sizes or any transitions after students return back to school in the fall.  We have created a simple survey I would like all families to fill out. One for each child who attends Coventry Hills School.  This will help us to anticipate our school enrollment for planning next year.  Please fill out this survey by Thursday, April 11th.  What are your plans for next year?

Sincerely,

Ms. Dalton, Principal
