Dear Coventry Hills School Families,
We are thrilled to welcome everyone back to school! The first week has gone smoothly, and it’s been wonderful to see so many familiar faces as students settle into their new routines and expectations. The energy and enthusiasm in our classrooms and hallways have set a positive tone for the year ahead.
As we move forward, we’d like to remind families of our school start and end times. Coventry Hills School’s bell times remain unchanged:
- First bell rings at 8:40 AM and the Second bell rings at 8:42 AM, when students are expected to be in class.
- Dismissal time is at 3:25 PM, when students will be dismissed out their designated doors. Please stand back from the doors so that teachers and students can quickly and efficiently get outside and locate families for pick up.
In the morning, ensure your child arrives on time to enter the building with their classmates. We’ve noticed an increase in westbound traffic on Coventry Hills Way during morning drop-off. If you travel this route, we encourage you to allot extra time to ensure a smooth and timely arrival.
At the end of the day, students are dismissed from their designated doors by teachers. We kindly ask that parents arrive promptly for pick-up, as there is no supervision after school hours. Due to changes in bell times at Nose Creek School and North Trail High School, older siblings attending those schools are no longer able to pick up students from Coventry Hills, as their dismissal times are up to 15 minutes later. We appreciate your support in ensuring all students are picked up in a timely manner.
To support communication and learning, teachers have set up Google Classroom for sharing updates and classroom activities. You can access your child’s Google Classroom using their CBE gmail address and password. For Kindergarten and Grade One families, teachers will be sending home specific instructions. Students in older grades are already familiar with this process. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher.
Lastly, on Wednesday, September 10th, we will be sending home a school information package containing important details and forms. Please review the contents and return the completed forms to your child’s teacher promptly.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. We look forward to a wonderful year ahead!
Sincerely,
Benita F. Dalton
