Parent Teacher Conferences
Dear Coventry Families,
Parent Teacher Conferences are set up for next week on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29th. Kindergarten students will not attend on Thursday to allow interviews to happen during the daytime. There is no school for all students on Friday, November 29. To book appointment times for a 15 minute in-person interview please go to the school website, MyCBE icon or click on MyCBE Account and log in. If you have not set up an account, please do so. Once you have logged in, click on the book and Manage meeting times. Parent teacher conferences are an essential component for communicating student progress to date in relation to the learning the student has been doing in class. This time is one of celebration and planning next steps in learning where students are invited to be a part of the conversation and to determine goals for their learning. Conferences are held in the students’ classroom and there will be samples of student work to view as a part of the conference. Chairs will be outside the classroom for people who are waiting to have their conference. Please knock on the door when it is your scheduled time. Please refer to the attached document How is My Child Doing in School? regarding ways the CBE works to communicate student learning and progress in relation to the Alberta Curriculum. We look forward to this time with parents who are an important part of their child’s education.
Sincerely,
Benita Dalton, Principal
